NLTSB and the ESVSB

I came across two posts this morning that seek to compare the New Living Translation Study Bible with the English Standard Version Study Bible.  It should be noted, however, that the people reviewing the NLTSB have a copy in hand (typically) that the publisher has sent them.  Since the ESVSB has not been released and it would seem that they have not sent out many review copies, most reviews of the ESVSB thus far are by those who have pulled information off the ESV Blog.  That said:

I just wrote a book based on Proverbs (”Moral Makeover”, Xulon Press). For
each Scriptural reference cited, I used the New International Version. Recently,
I bought the NLTSB and the ESVSB. I am amazed at the beauty of both translations! One of them will be used for my next book.

As study Bibles, I think either would make a great gift. However, the ESVSB
is far more extensive. Both also include access online to their study Bible.
Again, the ESVSB online is superior. It even allows you to listen to each chapter
    with only a click.

This year, give someone a precious gift that they will enjoy more and more over the years. Give them their own study Bible– ESV or NLT would be great choices!
